Cheap Nintendo Games

Finding cheap Nintendo games has gotten a little bit easier. Thanks to a recommendation from a reader the Nintendo Price Guide has been updated to show if the lowest price is an Auction or a BuyItNow scenario.

Say for example you want a cheap copy of a Nintendo game, for instances Super Mario Bros. 2, the Nintendo Price Guide will show you the current average price for that particular game plus the cost of the lowest available on eBay with shipping! If its BuyItNow you can be pretty certain to get it for that price.

The Nintendo Price Guide isn't perfect however. Occasionally a random Nintendo Instruction Booklet will be captured when searching the auctions for games thus skewing the results. We are currently working on making these false positives as infrequent as possible.

If you have any recommended features for the Nintendo Price Guide or want to comment on Nintendo Collecting please let us know! To view the price guide visit www.salzmafia.com/ebay

Your price guide is coming along quite nicely. The new feature is great for finding low priced auctions. What would make it even more invaluable would be if you could filter out auctions entirely if you choose. If you want to be able to pick up some random nes game for like 2 or 3 dollars, you need to remove the auctions. Anyways, keep up the good work!

As of this morning this morning I've added the a feature to group auctions vs. BuyItNows so it shows it shows the cheapest of the cheapest. Currently though if the seller is using customized shipping (I.E you need to put in your zipcode to get the shipping price) its not going to reflect in the prices shown here. I'm currently looking into ways to either flag those games. Thanks again Poisonwater for the suggestion.

I tested it out and the only problem is that the lowest price listed is still the auction. I was looking at the jungle book, and while it said that the cheapest was at 1.99 and in the buy it now category, the 1.99 price was an auction. The real cheapest buy it now was 13 dollars. I think that the easiest way of fixing this would to make a pull down menu or a button that would remove all auctions from the list and then show the cheapest buy it now. This way you can always know the cheapest nes cart on ebay. Then you can buy it and add it to your collection. Just last week I picked up a buy it now nes game for a dollar with free shipping! You really have an amazing program here, keep up the good work!

This is going to be a little bit more complicated then I first thought. It definately can be done though. I'm not going to have the opportunity to fix it soon though. I'm in a middle of a move, and I'm training all week at work. Boo! But what I will do is show it as lowest price auction for all items, and lowest price buyitnow for all items. It can definately be done!
