Printed And Cut Golf Label
So I've cut the label out and fitted it for the Golf cart. It looks like it will fit perfectly. I still need a solution to laminate it though.

Nintendo Golf New Label

Ok, so I know I said in the last post that I'd give complete instructions on how to make this label. What you see here is the final version. However I'm not going to give the complete steps in this post. I've printed the label and have to do a few more things until its ready to afix onto the Nintendo Golf Cartridge and then I'll post the complete instructions.
In anycase this is what the final version looks like. I thought about posting a convoluted story about the girl on the golf course being named "Nikki" and that Mario stumbled upon the former drink girl in a bunker and proceeded to give her the business. But thats just crazy talk.
Anyways, once this project is fully complete I plan to give the cartridge away at www.videogamepriceguides.com more info will be coming... stay tuned...

Reprinting Nintendo Labels
So what do you do when you obtain or already have in your possesion a cartridge whose label is trashed? You make a new label of course. I'll post the actual steps to make this label for Nintendo Golf in a few days. But this is an excellent way to breath new life into a cartridge. Perfect for a gift as well.

Did It Arrive
Well I'm standing in line at the Post Office. I have a pick up sheet for an item that won't fit in my PO Box. I'm hoping that "Mike" guy has finally pulled through with that 8 game Nintendo lot. We'll also see how honest he is as I have a difficult time believing it takes 8 days to ship an item from Baltimore to Las Vegas...

Red Or Blue
If you could pinpoint the most significant contribution the Nintendo Entertainment System had done for the video game industry it was clearly the influence of color and style in the characters you played. Especially if it was a two player game. For instance....
POW: Prisoners of War. Two players. Two Bandanas. One wears Red, the other wears Blue...

The Ikari Warriors. Two players. Two Bandanas. One wears Red, the other wears Blue...

Guerrilla War. Two players. No Bandanas. One wears Red, the other wears Blue...

POW: Prisoners of War. Two players (VS Mode). Two Bandanas (on the box art only). One wears Red, the other wears Blue...

Contra. Two Bandanas. One wears Red, the other wears Blue...

And on a completely unrelated topic, I knew the boxart to Contra (and well, part of the story of the game) was loosely based on Predator, but in looking at the game and the poster the only difference is the face. However the face on the dude on the Contra box looks more fitting for a Kool, New Port, or some other fruity cigarette brand's ad as featured in Better Homes and Gardens.

More Pedro! Games
I received my latest round of Pedro! Games today. I've mentioned it a million times but you can read my review at http://www.videogamepriceguides.com/ This go-round I received Robocop, Lode Runner, Platoon and Alpha Mission. All in great shape but Lode Runner did have a gash.
And I'm still waiting on that "Mike" guy to send the 8 games. After three emails he claims he had a family emergency. I suspect its another BS eBay excuse. I've spoken about that type of crap in earlier posts. eBay must be directly responsible for a 3rd of the world's family disasters.

Journey To Silius
It's arrived! And it's a new record. Pedro! Games is fast. Real fast! This is my 3rd transaction with them. You can read my original review about Pedro! at http://www.videogamepriceguides.com/. But get this... I won and paid for this auction late in the evening on June 30th. The next day on July 1st I received an email from Pedro! saying the game shipped. Here we are on July 3rd and it was in my P.O. Box but here is the amazing part... this Nintendo game came from North Carolina, and I am in Las Vegas! Unbelievable! Anyways this game rocks. I've read elsewhere that Sunsoft originally had the license to publish a Terminator game, but things fell apart so they changed it to this. It's truly an incredible game, perfectly programmed with a decent story beautiful music and awesome box art. Typically movie games are garbage but I'm confident this would have turned out beautifully. It's a shame we will never know. One last thing, this was a BuyItNow for $2 and its in out of the box condition!
