About 13 years ago I discovered Sonic The Hedgehog for the Original Game Boy but what I didn’t know at the time was that it was a hack of Speedy Gonzales.
The game play is similar to Sonic. You can run left or right and you can jump. Bumpers send you off at high speed. Other objects such as penguins serve as springs. Fans keep you from progressing and question signs unlock certain functions on each level.
You don’t collect rings but you do collect cheese. This is an excellent game!

Videogame eBay Long Shot

Ebay long shot: Nintendo Lot featuring a few of those unlicensed religious games. This auction is going to end while I’m at work so some time around 9 my phone will go off and hopefully it will be distraction from the guff.

We all have one: a favorite game that defined your childhood. For many it will be Super Mario Bros. And for others it will be Pitfall! But as time goes on and the market continues to over saturate fewer and fewer children will attach memories to the games of their youth. Sure, twenty years from now the thirty something crowd might speak of Halo or Call of Duty but with so many games spewing the same game play they will get lost in the shuffle.
So for me, to have a game that has beautiful and fond memoriea is really something to cherish. I’ll be doing a full video review of Front Line for ColecoVision very soon. But for now consider how I got my copy… It was given to me. Free and clear from a Cuban kid who lived in my apartments. He didn’t care because he moved on to the Nintendo NES. But for me Front Line was war. It looked like war it sounded like war. Pistol. Grenades. Gunnery tank. Shell tank. Dense forests bunkers and turrets. A running river. The game had it all. And my grandfather could relate. Video is coming soon!

Suicide With Tetris
Hey everyone, I realize I haven’t posted in a while, but I’ve been kinda busy. If you haven’t heard I’m going to see what will happen if someone were to play Tetris non-stop for 24 hours. I suspect it could kill a man. Therefore I’ve dedicated a site to this highly irresponsible stunt. Perhaps you’ll show your support by voting on which version of Tetris I’ll use to get the job done, or maybe you’d like to buy a ticket to the attempted suicide. Either way visit http://www.salzmansuicide.com and show your support!
